Leave winter behind and join us in warm, beautiful Costa Rica for an unforgettable week of paragliding, surfing, and jungle adventures.
Enjoy 7 days filled with new experiences, breathtaking views, and great company surrounded by nature.
We have 6 limited spots for pilots, plus 2–3 extra spaces for companions (“Bring your partner” option available).
Paragliding - “La Ballena” (The Whale)”
Experience world-class flying at our private site La Ballena, inside Casa Jaguar, where the jungle meets the ocean.
Take off from 750 meters above sea level, enjoying smooth thermals and long soaring sessions above pristine rainforest and coastline.
After landing on the beach, you can relax with a cold beer or fresh coconut water, swim in the ocean, or just unwind under the tropical sun while waiting for transportation.
Average flight time: 1–1.5 hours per flight
Flying days: 6 guided days (weather dependent)

If you wish to stay longer, you’re more than welcome to keep flying with us as friends (just cover your own lodging and meals).
Surf
Ride the Pacific waves right at our main landing zone — Playa Hermosa.
What to expect:
Daily sunset surf sessions (except on day trips)
All skill levels welcome
Intro surf lessons included with full in-water assistance
Option to surf in Dominical for more advanced waves
Surfboard rental not included ($15–$20/day)

When we’re not flying or surfing, we’ll explore some of Costa Rica’s hidden gems:
Whale’s Tail Beach – Visit the iconic sandbar inside Marino Ballena National Park (entrance not included).
The Emerald Canyon – Discover rainforest trails, waterfalls, and secret swimming spots.
You’ll experience the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and local culture.
Lodging
Relax and recharge in a luxury jungle villa near Playa Hermosa, just minutes from the Whale’s Tail National Park.

Bring your companion with 50% discount.
You will be able to participate in all activities except paragliding flights, although a tandem discovery flight is included if you wish to live the experience.

Deposit is non-refundable
Full payment due 60 days before tour start
50% refund available for cancellations made up to 30 days before the trip
No refunds for cancellations within 30 days of the start date
You may transfer your booking to another person without penalty if both parties notify us in advance

Mauricio has worked as a professional tandem pilot and instructor around the world — including Nepal, India, Europe, South America, and Indonesia.
He is also the owner of Boulder Paragliding LLC (USA) and founder of Whale Tail Paragliding & Adventures (Costa Rica).
With 17+ years of surfing experience in Costa Rica, Indonesia, Nicaragua, Portugal, Spain, South Africa, and the Caribbean.
Mauricio combines flying and ocean skills to deliver a one-of-a-kind adventure.
